A very interesting and well written book, useful to anyone, in any country, not only in South Africa. It helps you understand the mentality of criminals, so you are better prepared if you have to deal with them. This book has many real life examples, which makes it enjoyable to read.
Some good security tips in this book. Not so different from situations in many U.S. areas now. Better to think about this stuff too soon than too late -- worth reading.
As well as entertaining this book is very informative, containing lots of very good advice and is illustrated throughout with true life tales. The author actually explains how the criminal mind works. I was pleased to see the South African 10111 number frequently quoted, I think that youngsters here in SA are more familiar with the US 911 number!
This book is easy to read for the people with a different first language than English. It is very informative and give you loads of information on personal security, how to secure your house, car, etc. I started reading this on the plane home from SA, and it gave me several answers that I had after the trip. The only stupid thing is that I should have read it on the plane TO SA.
I came away with a better understanding of the criminal mind and how to protect myself. I live in Mexico not Africa but the similarities are obvious.
Casey gives you a true outlook on self preservation and to be aware of what is going on around you. Great true personal stories to give a full picture of what he's tying to explain to you. This book is well put together.
